Safety Seminar Set for October 8

The Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT) and the Greater Calumet Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) will hold a safety seminar focused on professional development on October 8 at the The Calumet Conference Center at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, IN.

Topics and speakers include:

• Confined Space Rule Changes – Dr. Pete Englebert, Manta Industrial
• ANSI Fall Protection – Mike Murphy, Miller Fall Protection
• Recordable vs. First Aids – Dr. Frank Messana, Comprehensive Care
• Keys to Workers’ Compensation – Dr. Charlie Mok, Jr., WorkingWell
• Ergonomics – Rehab Institute of Chicago at St. Margaret Mercy

The seminar will run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A complimentary continental breakfast, as well as lunch, will be provided. Cost is $5 for NWIBRT and ASSE members, $10 for non-members, and free to Purdue students and faculty.
