U.S. Chamber Highlights SunRise Solar as Innovation Success Story

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) today highlighted St. John, IN-based SunRise Solar as a national leader in innovation and creativity.

Representatives from SunRise Solar were recently featured at the GIPC’s annual IP Summit in Washington, D.C. as a small business that depends on strong intellectual property rights to remain successful.

This profile is part of the GIPC’s national Faces of IP project, which features small and medium size businesses from all walks of life and highlights the important role innovation and creativity have played in their success. This project also speaks to how intellectual property rights both incentivize and safeguard their hard work, job creation, and ingenuity.

Imperial Crane Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Imperial Crane Services held a 40th Anniversary party on Friday, September 11th at their Bridgeview location. Around 700 employees, customers, vendors and friends came to enjoy live entertainment, roasted pig and lamb, view equipment and congratulate Imperial on their safety accomplishments. The shop, completely transformed to hold the party, had a DJ, live band and two open bars.

During the event Imperial was awarded for their dedication to safety. Kevin Cunningham, Executive Vice President of Nation Builders Insurance, awarded President and Owner, BJ Bohne, for a phenomenal loss record. Cunningham presented to Bohne a crystal plaque of the Chicago skyline for 40 years of risk management excellence. Along with the award, Imperial was proud to announce their 731,359 man-hours without a lost time accident.
