Notes: Four Companies Announce Hiring Plans

Creative Liquid Coatings in Kendallville will hire 65 workers in the coming months as it starts a contract with Chrysler.

In Lafayette, Caterpillar is recalling 100 of the 450 technicians laid off last March.

The Middlebury town council has cleared the way for RV maker Jayco to expand its plant, a move which is projected to create about 75 jobs by 2012.

Texas-based ice cream maker Blue Bell Creameries is looking to build a $2.15 million distribution center in Indianapolis which would employ 24 people.

Drink Maker to Expand

Living Essentials, the producer of 5-Hour Energy drinks, announced today that it will expand its production operations in Wabash, creating up to 36 new jobs by 2012.

The company, which produces, packages and distributes 5-Hour Energy drinks from its 150,000 square-foot facility, will invest more than $3.3 million to add two new production lines at 200 Bond St.

“As 5-Hour Energy continues to experience strong growth, they have recognized that Indiana is a place their business can succeed,” said Mitch Roob, Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “We must continue to create the environment that makes expansion possible for great companies that create new jobs for Indiana workers.”
